Another great week of football and an even better week for Bills (5-1) fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thursday night saw the Commanders at Bears in a low scoring game \u2014 expected from two teams struggling on both sides of the ball. Fewer than 20 points were scored between the teams with only 2 total touchdowns. These two teams are playing for draft picks, especially the Commanders who are in the most competitive division in the league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sunday saw some amazing football with the marquee matchup of the week between the Bills and Chiefs in Kansas City. Earlier in the week I took the Bills ML -140. This was not a revenge game, the Bills were better and they knew it going into that game. The crowd and the stadium brought back some grief with Allen and the Bills seeming a bit rattled before scoring a much needed touchdown at the end of the half. Some second half adjustments were made and the Bills were able to beat the blitz and score twice more in the second half. The game was sealed with a Mahomes interception with a minute and some change on the clock. Are the Chiefs bad? The jury is still out, but it is clear they are hurting without Tyreek Hill \u2014 Kelce can\u2019t do it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keeping with the New York winners, both the Jets and the Giants grabbed wins against the Packers and Ravens, respectively \u2014 two teams that were supposed to top the league standing this year. With the win, the Jets move to second place in the AFC East, a game behind Buffalo and the Giants stay in second in the NFC East, a game behind the Eagles. Through 6 weeks the best teams in the league are sitting in the East and I don\u2019t see that changing. Tom Brady is starting to show his age and his personal life is seeping into the game. And Aaron Rodgers just doesn\u2019t have the playmakers he needs \u2014 this is what happen when you don\u2019t draft wide receivers for decades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wrapping up the week was a weak Monday night AFC West showdown between the Broncos and Chargers. The game was tight and went to overtime with the Chargers grabbing the win with a game winning field goal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
